Crespi Trounces Alemany, 16-1

Jeff Suppan’s efforts Wednesday helped keep Crespi High alive in the Mission League baseball race.
Suppan pitched six scoreless innings and blasted a three-run home run to lead the Celts to a 16-1 rout over Alemany at Valley College.
“We couldn’t lose,” Crespi Coach Scott Muckey said.
The win moved Crespi (10-5, 4-3 in league play) one game behind second-place Alemany (5-2) with five games to play. Notre Dame leads the league with a 5-1 record.
Suppan was three for four with three runs batted in to pace a 16-hit attack. Victor Seper was three for three with three RBIs, Jim Horacek was three for three with two RBIs and Kyle Carden was three for four with two RBIs.
Crespi had lost its two previous games.
