Dick Hill Will Assist Tom Meiss at Foothill

Dick Hill, who has won more games than any other football coach in Orange County history, will become an assistant coach at Foothill next season, Foothill Coach Tom Meiss said Monday.
Hill, who is 196-87-3 as a head coach, was fired after eight seasons at Santa Ana because he is retiring as a teacher at the end of the school year. Santa Ana Principal Andy Hernandez said the coach must be a full-time teacher.
Meiss, formerly a head coach at Santa Ana and Orange high schools, assisted Hill at Santa Ana Valley and Santa Ana. Hill also served as Meiss’ assistant for several seasons at Santa Ana.
