Roseanne’s Dad Talks: In this week’s TV Guide, Roseanne Arnold’s father, Jerry Barr, admits to hitting Roseanne when she was growing up. “I grabbed her hair . . . and I beat her. I mean, literally, I didn’t hit her with my fist; I hit her with my open hand,” Barr said. But Barr denies his daughter’s allegation that he sexually abused her: “It wasn’t sexual. It wasn’t abuse. It was parenting.” In the article, Arnold says she considers her parents dead.
