Robert A. Singer has been elected to a one-year term as president of the Fullerton Joint Union High School District Board of Trustees.
As president, Singer will chair the board’s meetings and appoint trustees to committees. Elected president by the board last week, Singer has been a trustee since 1980 and has been board president twice previously.
He is employed by Hughes Aircraft Corp. as a communications program manager.
The board also elected Barbara R. Kilponen, a three-year member of the board, to be its new clerk. The clerk is the second highest position on the board, and she will chair the meetings in Singer’s absence.
