COMMUNITY COLLEGE ROUNDUP : Cypress Routs Fresno Pacific JV in First Round

Cypress College used a 22-0 run early in the game to pull away Thursday and went on to beat Fresno Pacific JV, 78-29, in the first round of the Bill Taormina Classic at Cypress College.
Cypress was ahead, 13-4, when the Chargers rolled off 22 consecutive points to lead, 35-4. Cypress led, 41-10, at the half.
David Boyle scored 19 and Sam Sabbara added 12 and Robbie Shelton 10 for Cypress.
In the East Los Angeles men’s tournament:
Fullerton 93, San Diego City 67--Sophomore center Bob Terry had 38 points and 11 rebounds and the Hornets hit 43 of 58 free throws in the round-robin tournament. Freshman Mark Perry added 15 points and sophomore Garry Hunter 12 for Fullerton (6-6).
In the Pasadena Tournament:
Rancho Santiago 86, Moorpark 72--Glenn Greene had a team-high 19 for Rancho Santiago (9-4), the two-time tournament defending champions.
