Fluor Board Member Retires: Allen E. Puckett, the 72-year-old chairman emeritus of Hughes Aircraft Co., has retired from the board of Fluor Corp. after serving four years with the company. In a statement, Fluor Chairman Les McCraw described Puckett as “instrumental in guiding this company toward becoming the industry leader it is today.” The international engineering and construction company based in Irvine now has 14 board members. Fluor spokeswoman Deborah Land said the company intends to select a replacement at a later date.
