The following are selected entries from the crime logs of local law enforcement agencies between Nov. 25 and Dec. 1:
Glendale
South Brand Boulevard, 900 block--A car was stolen from a dealership on Nov. 26 after the victim was tricked into believing the thief was the owner of the business.
West Colorado Boulevard, 300 block--A bank was robbed of about $575 on Nov. 27 at 2:45 p.m. The robber produced a note, but no weapon was used.
Melrose Avenue, 1100 block--More than $15,000 in valuable paintings, Oriental rugs and jewelry was stolen from a home on Nov. 29 between 4:30 and 11 p.m.
San Fernando Road, 4700 block--Five industrial sewing machines valued at $6,500 were stolen from a business on Nov. 30 or Dec. 1. The robbers entered the business via a tunnel from an adjoining business.
West Glenoaks Boulevard, 2000 block--At least four thieves robbed a convenience store at gunpoint of $70 in cash, $400 in lottery tickets and food and cigarettes totaling $878 at 2:30 a.m. on Dec. 1.
San Fernando Road, 6300 block--Three robbers, one brandishing a weapon, stole about $200 in cash, a case of soda and two 12-packs of beer from a convenience store at 2:43 a . m. on Dec. 1. A customer was robbed of his wallet and a walkie-talkie valued at $930.
La Canada Flintridge
Viro Road, 4500 block--A resident caught and detained a burglar who had entered a home and was attempting to open a cabinet at 10:35 a.m. Sunday. Police booked the suspect for investigation of burglary and possession of a controlled substance.
La Crescenta
Franklin Street, 2900 block--Burglars entered a residence between Nov. 25 and 26 and stole a VCR and stereo equipment valued at $1,700, and $3,000 in currency.
Atwater
Edenhurst Avenue, 3900 block--Three men took $1,955 in money and jewelry from a person they stopped at gunpoint on a sidewalk on Nov. 25 at 1:35 a.m. One robber threatened to shoot the victim, but a companion pulled the gun away.
Glendale Boulevard, 1700 block--A clothing store’s rear window was smashed, and industrial equipment valued at $9,000 was stolen on Nov. 27 or 28.
Eagle Rock
Tipton Way, 5900 block--Burglars entered a home and stole $5,230 in money, jewelry and precious metals on Nov. 27 between 11 a.m. and 1:45 p.m.
Colorado Boulevard, 2800 block--Jewelry valued at $15,000 was stolen from a department store on Nov. 29 or 30.
Echo Park
Beaudry Avenue, 9400 block--A woman was robbed of her purse and jewelry valued at $2,042 at 7: 10 a.m. Nov. 24, after being chased and pushed to the ground by two assailants.
Figueroa Terrace, 1000 block--Four robbers entered a garage at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 1 and forced a victim to hand over a wallet and $1,240 in cash.
Glassell Park
Eagle Rock Boulevard, 3400 block--Thieves pried open a window of a garment factory between Nov. 23 and 25 and removed $8,500 in industrial equipment.
Highland Park
York Boulevard, 5000 block--Thieves kicked in the wooden door of a commercial building between Nov. 22 and 24 and took $20,000 in tools and business machines.
Piedmont Avenue, 5800 block--On Nov. 26 or 27 thieves stole $12,000 in sewing machines from a garment factory.
Los Feliz
North Alexandria Avenue, 1900 block--Burglars took jewelry and video equipment valued at $5,591 from an apartment between 9:15 a.m. and 11:10 p.m. on Nov. 24.
North Kenmore Avenue, 1900 block--An apartment was ransacked on Nov. 25 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., and $7,360 in money and jewelry was stolen.
Lexington Avenue, 4200 block--Burglars forced open a front window of a home on Nov. 25 between 3 and 4:30 p.m. and took jewelry and video equipment valued at $12,390.
West Sunset Boulevard, 4400 block--Three robbers brandishing a revolver entered a fast-food restaurant on Nov. 25 at 12:50 a.m. and took almost $7,000 in currency after locking an employee and a customer in the freezer.
Hollywood Boulevard, 4900 block--A car thief at 12:25 a.m. on Nov. 29 took car keys and pushed the victim to the ground in a parking garage.
Mt. Washington
Dove Drive, 5000 block--Burglars cut through a home’s roof screen between 9:30 a.m. and 9 p.m. Nov 26 and stole a radio and cash valued at $4,370.
Silver Lake
Silver Lake Boulevard, 1700 block--Auto parts, accessories and a radio valued at $12,000 were stolen from a commercial building on Nov. 29 or 30 by thieves who pried off security bars.
Alessandro Street and Glendale Boulevard--A robber with a red light on his vehicle pulled over a woman in a car at 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 30. He told her she was speeding and to turn off her engine, then hit her repeatedly and took money, jewelry and precious metals valued at $1,290.
