Doing Something About Gang Crime
I was greatly pleased when I read about the 70 people arrested in the gang sweep on the nights of Nov. 9 and Nov. 10 (“Police Arrest 70 in Sweep of Violators,” Nov. 11). I feel the police departments involved did an excellent job in cleaning up the streets of Orange County. Our law enforcers did us a favor by putting the incorrigible members of society behind bars.
This organized, anti-gang sweep definitely sent a message to all gang members: The people of Orange County have had enough gang-related crimes. We want it stopped, and now something is being done about it.
I congratulate the police departments of Orange County for their work. I encourage them to continue their efforts in cracking down on the gangs that desecrate our society.
