PerfectData Posts 10% Rise in Net Income

PerfectData Corp., a Simi Valley maker of products for cleaning and maintaining computers, said its net income rose 10% during the fiscal second quarter on a 39% increase in revenue.

In the three months that ended Sept. 30, PerfectData’s profit was $153,000 compared with $139,000 last year, while revenues rose to $2 million from $1.4 million a year earlier.

For the six months ended Sept. 30, PerfectData’s net income rose 5% to $292,000 from $277,000 last year. Six-month sales increased 29% to $3.7 million from $2.8 million last year.

The company attributed the sales gains to greater penetration into domestic and foreign markets and introductions of new products.
