RTC to Add New Office in Costa Mesa: To help dispose of the assets from more and larger failed California thrifts, the Resolution Trust Corp. said it will establish a sub-regional office in Costa Mesa. The RTC is setting up the office to help sell the assets and oversee administrative functions of those failed thrifts still operating under RTC management. A. J. Felton, a retired General Motors Acceptance Corp. executive who has been a deputy in the RTC’s Eastern regional office, was appointed California area director. Like the RTC’s consolidated coastal office in Costa Mesa, the sub-regional office will report to regional headquarters in Denver.
