SIMI VALLEY, MOORPARK : Disposal Sites to Accept Appliances
- Share via
Simi Valley and Moorpark residents on Saturday can dispose of old appliances and other hard-to-get-rid-of items in cleanup efforts in the two cities.
In Simi Valley, residents can take refuse to a site on Royal Avenue, between Tapo Canyon Road and Voyager Avenue, 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m., spokeswoman Terisa Makarehchi said.
Moorpark residents can take their unwanted items to the northeast corner of Spring Road and Flinn Avenue between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Neither cleanup site will accept trash from businesses, or hazardous materials, such as used oil, pesticides or paint.
In addition, Moorpark residents will be able to dispose of only a limited number of large items, spokeswoman Carolyn Greene said. Only one appliance and no more than four automobile tires will be accepted from each household, she said.
