Duke No Hit With Record Company

A&M; Records contacted David Duke’s headquarters Wednesday to demand that the Louisiana Republican candidate stop playing Bryan Adams’ pop single, “(Everything I Do) I Do It for You,” during campaign rallies.
The romantic ballad was featured in the hit motion picture “Robin Hood” and dominated the pop charts for seven weeks this summer. Adams and A&M; also called on radio stations in the state Wednesday to pull the song from their playlists until the election was over, saying the Canadian rock star did not want any listeners to be “unintentionally influenced to vote for the man.”
