Biomedical Firm Signs Pact With Japanese

GARDEN GROVE — MicroProbe Corp., a biomedical company, said it signed an agreement with a Japanese firm to jointly develop a diagnostic system that could be used to identify diseases.
Terms of the agreement with Tokyo-based Olympus Optical Co. Ltd. were not disclosed. The companies plan to use their technology to create a machine that can quickly identify the genetic makeup of infectious diseases and cancers.
