BED SEARCH: Where do you sleep when you have nowhere to sleep? The Orange County Homeless Issues Task Force’s studies show the biggest block of homeless--25%--sleep in their vehicles (E1). About 20% sleep on the street. The rest either find a shelter, a motel, or stay with family and friends. . . . “It’s all cyclical,” says Susan Oakson of the task force. “You sleep in your car, you have nowhere to shower, or wash your clothes, so you can’t go on job interviews.
