Franklin 43, Verdugo Hills 0--Quarterback Julio Merrino threw touchdown passes of 43 and 34 yards and scored on a one-yard run as the visiting Panthers (5-4, 3-3) romped in a game shortened in the fourth quarter because of a fight.
Verdugo Hills (1-8, 1-5) managed only nine yards and had four turnovers.
