Search for Girl, 9, Expanded to Mexico

The search for a 9-year-old San Diego girl missing since July has expanded into Mexico, San Diego police said Friday.
Police sent photographs of Rasheedya Wilson to newspapers and television stations in Tijuana and solicited information from anyone who might have seen the fourth-grader, said Bill Robinson, a Police Department spokesman. She was last seen July 15 a block from her home in a hotel on F Street.
Robinson said the search was expanded because no leads have turned up in San Diego County and there have been tips suggesting that Rasheedya was abducted and taken to Mexico.
Rewards of up to $1,000 are offered for information through the Crime Stoppers program at 235-TIPS. Callers can remain anonymous.
