Oak Park 34, Moorpark 26--Running back Tarik Smith led Oak Park (7-0, 2-0) over host Moorpark (1-6, 0-2) by carrying 15 times for 258 yards, including touchdowns of 78 and 62 yards.
Smith’s performance highlighted an impressive offensive performance as both teams combined for 858 yards in total offense. Moorpark had 463 yards, spearheaded by quarterback Ryan Huisenga, who completed 18 of 38 passes for 233 yards and two touchdowns.
Moorpark wide receiver Robbie Salone had eight receptions, including touchdowns of 25 and five yards.
