Teacher’s Lawsuit Sparks Indignation

I am furious that such a religious man as John Peloza would be so selfish as to bring about a lawsuit against the (Capistrano Unified) School District at a time when the education budgets have been slashed right and left. Our children’s educations are already suffering the effects of the cuts, and now the school district must defend this ridiculous lawsuit.

In a country with so many diverse religious backgrounds, teachers in the public school system should not be inflicting their religious beliefs on anyone. I’m sure Mr. Peloza would not stand by and allow a non-Christian teacher to inflict his religious beliefs on his children.

There is a time and place for religion, and it is not in a public school system. Perhaps Mr. Peloza should be teaching in a private Christian school--but then he might not earn as high a salary as he is now earning.
