VENTURA : Mexican Book Fair Planned This Week

Nearly 1,000 books written in Spanish by widely acclaimed Mexican authors will be displayed at the Feria del Libro Mexicano, or Mexican Book Fair, from today to Saturday at Ventura City Hall.
The event, designed to help people become acquainted with the Mexican publishing industry, will begin at 5:30 p.m. today.
The fair is being jointly sponsored by the county, the Mexican Consulate in Oxnard, the Ventura County Museum of History and Art and the Institute of Mexican Culture of Los Angeles.
Information will also be available on how to obtain publications offered by participating publishing houses.
