Tutor-Saliba to Share Subway Station Contract

A joint venture formed by Tutor-Saliba Corp., a Sylmar-based construction firm, and Perini Corp. of Framingham, Mass., said it has been awarded a $38.5-million contract to build a subway station at the intersection of Wilshire Boulevard and Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles.
The station, scheduled for completion in mid-1994, is the joint venture’s fourth Metro Red Line project awarded this year, and brings to $217.5 million the total value of the joint venture’s Metro Rail projects.
Tutor-Saliba has a 60% interest in the joint venture.
