Seattle SuperSonic guard Quintin Dailey has been admitted to a Calabasas hospital for treatment of a disorder that can produce hyperactivity and mood swings, club officials said. Dailey missed the first day of the Sonics training camp Friday with the approval of coach K.C. Jones and club president Bob Whitsitt.
Dailey, 30, has been admitted to Woodview-Calabasas Hospital for treatment of adult residual attention deficit disorder and will stay at least two weeks, the team said. Attention deficit disorder is more commonly found in children. It leads to hyperactivity, impulsive behavior, short attention spans and mood swings, said Ron Jones, an Olympia, Wash., doctor.
