Oak Park 27, Nordhoff 6--Oak Park used a balanced offensive attack and its defense forced five turnovers at Nordhoff.
Tarik Smith of Oak Park (4-0) recovered a fumble on the first play from scrimmage at the Ranger 38-yard line and Eagle fullback Jon Liebe (68 yards in 12 carries) punched over for a one-yard score eight plays later to give the Eagles a 7-0 lead.
Smith, who rushed for 107 yards in 10 carries to give him an area-leading 660 yards, raced 56 yards on the Eagles’ next possession to make it 14-0.
Oak Park quarterback Damian Delfino gained 103 yards on the ground in 10 carries and threw a 22-yard touchdown pass to tight end Robbie Proffer in the third quarter to cap the scoring. Delfino also intercepted a pass and recovered a fumble.
