The Labor Day weekend should see good fishing in the Eastern Sierra, with fish becoming more active as the temperatures drop.
The biggest trout have been coming from Convict Lake, although Carlos Herrera of June Lake took a nine-pound German brown from Gull Lake Monday morning.
For packers, fishing and the weather have been very good in the back country.
