The United States and Germany made strong showings in the World Rowing Championships in Vienna.
The Americans clinched berths in the finals of both women’s and men’s coxless four. The U.S. women also clinched a berth in the semifinal of the women’s lightweight double sculls, and the U.S. men advanced to the semifinals for lightweight quadruple sculls and in men’s pairs with coxswain.
