The San Gabriel Valley’s first HIV Early Intervention Clinic opened Thursday at St. Luke Medical Center in Pasadena.
Indigent patients who qualify will receive medical services at the clinic under a $250,000 federal grant given to the Pasadena AIDS Community Coordinating Committee, said clinic administrator Michael Rivera. Others can use Medi-Cal, Medicare and most private health insurance, Rivera said.
HIV testing is not provided, but evaluation by a doctor, blood testing and radiology and pulmonary services are available. Clinic hours are 1 to 5 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month. The medical center is at 2632 E. Washington Blvd.
