Sunny Blossom Upset by Diablo

ELMONT, N.Y. — Diablo, ridden by Julie Krone, rallied wide on the turn, took the lead on the stretch and finished strong to defeat favored Sunny Blossom by 2 1/4 lengths in the $116,200 True North Handicap for three-year-olds and up at Belmont Park on Saturday.
Diablo covered the six furlongs on the fast, wet track in 1:08 1/5 and paid $14 to win.
