The City Council has appointed residents to serve on three city commissions.
Richard Angel, Luis Carrillo, Joe Jauregui, Marty Martinez and Nicholas Oropeza were named to the Planning Commission.
Gilbert Garcia, Vincent Nevarez, Mark Ramos, Gerardo Salas and Rosemarie Tavera will be on the Parks and Recreation Commission.
Salvador Barajas, Gloria Duran, Ruby Ann Flores, Amelia Rueda and Homer Wilson will serve as human services commissioners. Rueda is scheduled to be youth representative, and Wilson to be senior citizen representative.
Commission terms were due to expire on April 30 but were extended to June 30 to allow David Sanchez, elected to the council last month in a special election, to participate in the selections.
The council will decide at its next meeting whether to extend the new terms to July 1, 1992, so members can serve a full 12 months.
