Teacher Gets Grant to Aid Girls in Math

A computer teacher at A.G. Currie Middle School has been selected to participate in a program aimed at increasing the involvement of girls in computers, math and science.
Julie Ramphall is one of 200 educators in the nation selected for the Computer Equity Expert Project, which is operated by the Women’s Action Alliance in New York City. Ramphall has been awarded a $3,000 grant for the project.
She will attend a six-day seminar on gender equity this summer.
