DEPOSED AGAIN: The “Espresso Mussolini” was not available Wednesday at Alfredo’s Ristorante in the Westin South Coast Plaza and is due to be banished from the dessert menu. In the belief that one dictator was pretty much like another, the Italian version of the traditional Napoleon pastry was named after the Italian fascist. . . . Then someone complained. “We weren’t really thinking of the sensitivity of it,” explained the manager. Before its overthrow, the concoction of cream custard and espresso chocolate ganache went for $4.50.
