Alpharel to Install Diablo Plant System

Alpharel Inc. said it was selected by Pacific Gas & Electric Co. to implement a pilot document imaging system at the utility’s Diablo Canyon nuclear power plant near San Luis Obispo.
The system will provide quick access to documents that are important to maintaining electrical, mechanical and control systems at the plant, Alpharel said.
Alpharel, a Camarillo-based producer of document management systems, did not disclose financial details about the pilot program. However, it said the program is in final contract negotiations and is expected to be installed this fall.
