Temple City : Senior Center Plan Rejected
- Share via
The City Council decided Tuesday not to build a new senior center, but rather to add senior services at existing facilities in Live Oak Park.
A citywide survey last December showed that residents’ main concern was not senior services, but the city’s tree-trimming program.
More than 57% of those surveyed were dissatisfied with the tree trimming, compared to about 13% who were dissatisfied with senior services. While more than 60% of those surveyed said they would like a senior center or community center, 73% said they didn’t want to pay extra for it.
