IRVINE : Electricity Out for About 45 Minutes
- Share via
About 2,000 residents living east of Jamboree Road and south of the San Diego Freeway lost power for about 45 minutes Friday morning.
The failure of electrical switching equipment near the Irvine Ranch Water District’s sewage treatment plant at Harvard Avenue and Michelson Drive caused power to shut off about 9:05 a.m. in a one-square-mile area around the plant, said Bob Adamson, a district manager for Southern California Edison.
An Edison crew reset the equipment and restored power, Adamson said. He added that there were no problems associated with the outage.
