JAPAN: Japan’s wholesale prices rose 1% in March on the temporary effects of a weaker yen, but the underlying trend is still toward moderating inflation, economists said. The inflationary impact of a weaker yen during March offset the effect of lower import prices resulting from weaker oil prices, economists said. Increasing labor and transportation costs offset falling energy prices, economists said.
