Your recent article on rail travel and the 10 best trips brought a grin of amusement. A friend and I just returned from Australia and had the opportunity to experience the Indian Pacific across the Nallobar Desert.
The decor in the club and dining cars reminded us of the early ‘50s. The food was quite passable and the service warm and friendly. Luxury it’s not but the fun cannot be denied.
