Irvine 7, Capistrano Valley 7 (9 innings, darkness)--Irvine scored twice in the sixth on a single by Chad Baker to take a 7-6 lead but Capistrano Valley (9-4-1, 2-1-1) rallied for a run on an RBI double by Brand Caso to tie it, 6-6. Mark Huffman had two hits, stole three bases and scored three runs for Irvine (9-4-1, 2-1-1).

Scott Newell had a pinch-hit grand slam in the fifth to give Capistrano Valley a 6-5 lead.
