One of four former members of the San Diego Job Corps program convicted of robbing undocumented migrant workers was sentenced Friday to six years in state prison.
Donald Tyrone Young, 22, also received a $100 fine from San Diego Superior Court Judge Fred Link.
Young and the other three co-defendants pleaded guilty Jan. 25 to three counts of robbery Aug. 30, just as the victims crossed the border into the United States. The victims had little money on them.
Another co-defendant, Jason MacAllister, 18, will be sentenced May 8 after he completes a mandatory diagnostic study with the California Youth Authority.
The sentencings of William Barnes, 24, and Ruben Saucedo, 20, were continued Friday to April 22.
