LONDON — A spy camera concealed in a finger ring and used by the KGB has sold for $22,400, more than double its pre-sale estimate, auctioneers Christie’s said.
The gold ring was offered for sale by an unidentified Eastern European and bought last week by an anonymous Japanese.
“We think there is only one other ring camera like it in the world,” said Katherine Curtis, Christie’s spokeswoman.
The camera lens is disguised as the central stone of the ring.
