Hawthorne Names Football Coach

Dan Robbins, the sophomore football coach at Hawthorne High, has been promoted to varsity coach, Athletic Director Otto Plum said Wednesday.
Robbins replaces Goy Casillas, who resigned at the end of last season.
“He’s a young, up-and-coming coach and a very good teacher,” Plum said. “He really gets along well with the kids. They all like him.”
