LOS ALAMITOS : Parents to Preview Preschool Program

Parents interested in a new preschool program offered by the Los Alamitos Unified School District will have a chance Wednesday to observe students in a pilot program and obtain information about it.
The program for 3- and 4-year-olds is scheduled to start in September and will cover the areas of language development, mathematics, problem solving, science, music, health and social development. The program will be available from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., with the academic-type areas being covered from 8:30 a.m. to noon.
Wednesday’s introductory session will be conducted by Barbara Halvorsen, the district’s preschool coordinator. Visitors should meet at the district board room at 10291 Bloomfield St. in Los Alamitos. The session will run from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m.
