Khalidi’s reasoning is faulty when he implies a moral equivalency between recent United Nations resolutions regarding Iraqi aggression and barbarities to a host of United Nations resolutions directed against Israel.
That in the Iraqi instance the United Nations has taken the correct actions does not retroactively cast moral legitimacy on all past U.N. behavior.
This is strikingly so regarding those one-sided and mean-spirited resolutions against Israel which have been sponsored by the totalitarian regimes of the Arab and formerly Soviet bloc countries.
