COLLEGE BASKETBALL ROUNDUP : No. 19 East Tennessee State Defeats The Citadel in Southern Tournament

Alvin West scored 12 of his 21 points in the first 6:09 of the second half, and No. 19 East Tennessee State began its quest for a third Southern Conference tournament title with a 99-70 victory over The Citadel Friday at Asheville, N.C.
The Citadel, which lost to the second-seeded Buccaneers by 20 and 32 points during the season, trailed by four points late in the first half. But East Tennessee State (26-4) led by 22 with 11:29 left.
No. 21 Princeton 79, Harvard 64--Kit Mueller, a 6-foot-7 center, scored 21 points, including 11 during a game-opening 34-11 run, as the Tigers beat the Crimson at Cambridge, Mass.
The Tigers, 22-2 overall and 13-0 in the Ivy League, have already clinched the league title and an automatic NCAA tournament berth. Harvard is 9-16, 6-7.
