City Council sessions will be regularly broadcast on the city’s public access cable channel starting Feb. 19.
Cable channel 3B, which now broadcasts a bulletin board of city events and activities, will show the meetings on a delayed basis, although no schedule has been determined. This fall, they are expected to be covered live, after equipment such as lighting and cameras and the control room are installed in the council chambers.
The City Council also has to approve the spending of $165,000 for equipment and another $30,000 for the control room, Finance Director Gordon Vessey said.
