Gerrymandering in 35th District

In the early 19th Century, in Massachusetts, the term gerrymander was coined when one voting district was formed resembling a salamander. Gov. Elgridge Gerry’s name was given to this blatant act of political maneuvering.
In a recent Times we see a similar situation which, I’m sure, can be repeated all through the state, but especially in population-dense Southern California.
The 35th Senate District, in all its convolutions, resembles a snarling dog. Since Assembly Speaker Willy Brown is the chief architect of California’s convoluted, Democrat-favoring redistricting, can we call this form of political maneuvering “browndogging” as practiced here?
