A Jordanian official said JORDAN will defend its airspace and not allow anyone to cross it, despite an Israeli warning that Amman’s air force would be destroyed if it stood in the way of an Israeli strike on Iraq to destroy Scud missile launchers. “We cannot tell him, ‘You have frightened us, so go ahead and pass,’ ” he said. “As a sovereign state, we will not allow anyone to cross our airspace and our territory.” Meanwhile, the U.S. MILITARY said that despite a reported disagreement among its front-line doctors, allied and Iraqi wounded will receive equal priority for medical treatment during combat. “It is real simple,” said one Army doctor. “A wounded man is a wounded man.”
