INDUSTRY — A Huntington Beach man suspected of drunk driving was arrested after his pickup truck went out of control and flipped over on top of a car, killing the driver, sheriff’s officials said.
Craig Allan Webb, 32, was booked on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and felony drunk driving. He was being held in lieu of $20,000 bail at a sheriff’s substation jail here, Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Sgt. Lynn Helbing said.
The accident occurred about 3:30 a.m. Monday when Webb, driving south on Brea Canyon Road, lost control of his four-wheel-drive pickup truck, Helbing said.
Webb’s truck spun out in the northbound lanes and flipped on top of a Mitsubishi compact car near Currier Road, Helbing said.
The impact crushed the driver, identified as Dora Diaz, 36, of Diamond Bar. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
