Morocco Tourism Hurt

RABAT, Morocco — Fallout from the Persian Gulf War has hit Morocco’s vital tourist industry. Vacationers, except for small groups of Japanese, are simply staying away.
More than 2 million tourists visited Morocco in 1989, but since Iraq invaded Kuwait on Aug. 2, there has been a dramatic decline in their number.
