Games Provide Diversion During Trying Times

A burning question in our drinking group is whether television coverage of the war should stop for the Super Bowl, or maybe even stop the war itself for the game. We say, “By God, yes!”
We don’t want any stupid shots of blown-up equipment, destroyed buildings, sinking ships or crashed planes interrupting our enjoyment of sporting events. We want to see fights in the ring or on the ice. Those who want to watch people fight a war can buy a ticket and watch it from the stands.
