VENTURA : Library Opens After Remodeling
Sporting new gray-blue carpeting, a much larger circulation desk and a new reference desk, the Wright Library in Ventura reopened Tuesday after more than a month of remodeling.
“The changes seem small for the library to be closed for so long, but we had to redirect all the electricity and phone and computer lines to the new desks. And all the books had to be taken off the shelves so we could move the shelves to replace the carpeting,” said Yvonne Seabold, supervising librarian.
The Board of Supervisors budgeted $30,000 for the renovations.
The library will hold an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday.
