Temple City : Land Appraisal Approved

In hopes of developing the triangular area between Broadway, Rosemead Boulevard and Eaton Wash, the City Council on Tuesday approved spending $1,000 to obtain appraisals for two properties.

Community Development Director Robert Dawson said the city may want to purchase the properties to be redeveloped together with two larger parcels.

If the city can obtain the two smaller properties and persuade the owners of the larger properties to cooperate on a project, he said, city staff would like to see another family-style restaurant to accompany the Sizzler restaurant already on the site.
