LA HABRA — A young La Mirada man who allegedly used a pellet gun to rob a Burger King on Saturday was caught minutes after fleeing with $500 in cash, police said.
Joseph Brent Muro, 18, was arrested by police after the 12:15 p.m. robbery in a parking lot across the street from the fast-food outlet at 1436 W. Imperial Hwy., Sgt. Jerry Cline said.
The stolen cash was recovered, Cline said, and an alleged accomplice, a 17-year-old La Mirada youth, was also arrested and is being held at Orange County Juvenile Hall.
During the robbery, Muro donned a ski mask, flashed what turned out to be a pellet gun and demanded cash from clerks, Cline said.
No injuries were reported. Muro is being held on $50,000 bail, police said.
